The ISCAR 3399149 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, a 0.06-inch corner radius, and three flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a 45-degree helix angle. The DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) PVD coating reduces friction and extends tool life when machining aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 6 inches overall length with a 1-1/4-inch length of cut and a 4-inch reach length, this end mill suits extended-reach finishing and roughing operations. It is center-cutting and single-end, with a straight cylindrical 3/4-inch shank for standard toolholder mounting. The submicron carbide grade supports tight tolerances and consistent edge integrity. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in mill centers.
This end mill is built for roughing and finishing passes on non-ferrous metals in both production and job-shop environments. The coarse pitch and three-flute geometry support chip evacuation in gummy materials such as aluminum alloys. The extended-reach design allows access to deep pockets and tall workpiece features without requiring a long-reach toolholder. The ECAI-B3-EC series designation places this tool in ISCAR's corner radius end mill family, cataloged as ECAI-B3 .75-1.3/4CR06-6EC. It is suited for CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers running non-ferrous workpieces where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are both required.
Compatible with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch straight cylindrical shank. Designed for CNC machining centers performing roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals. Manufacturer catalog reference: ECAI-B3 .75-1.3/4CR06-6EC.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to confirm concentricity before the first cut. Do not exceed the toolholder clamping torque specifications provided by the toolholder manufacturer.
