The ISCAR 3398547 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 0.75 inch mill diameter, five flutes, and a 4.125 inch length of cut, delivering chip-clearing efficiency and surface finish quality in demanding cutting conditions. The TiAlCN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 38-degree helix angle and variable index flute spacing, the tool reduces harmonics and chatter during deep-pocket and side-milling passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this end mill in production and job-shop environments where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical.
This end mill is suited for milling operations requiring extended reach into deep pockets or full-depth side walls. The 4.125 inch length of cut and 7 inch overall length make it appropriate for workpiece geometries that shorter end mills cannot access. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration fits standard ER and straight-shank toolholders. It is used in CNC machining centers handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where a submicron carbide grade and TiAlCN coating are specified for extended run cycles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production end mill for CNC machining centers accepting 0.75 inch straight-shank tooling in standard ER collets, side-lock holders, or shrink-fit chucks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Verify holder bore cleanliness and proper runout before tightening to prevent premature edge wear. Confirm that programmed speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut values are appropriate for the workpiece material and the tool diameter before initiating a cut.
