The ISCAR 3398349 is a solid carbide square end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length with a matching 3/4 inch shank diameter. The 4-flute, single-end configuration incorporates a variable index geometry and a 38-degree right-hand helix for improved chip evacuation and reduced chatter. An AlTiCrSiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection during aggressive cuts in hardened materials and difficult-to-machine alloys. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in production or job-shop environments.
This end mill is engineered for milling hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, and high-temperature alloys. The submicron carbide grade substrate combined with the AlTiCrSiN coating makes it well suited for high-speed, high-feed machining strategies. The right-hand cutting and flute direction is standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The variable index tooth spacing reduces harmonic vibration during heavy radial engagement, making it appropriate for both roughing and semi-finishing passes in tough workpiece materials.
Designed for milling hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, steel, and high-temperature alloys. Part of the ISCAR ECI-4-VF series for use in standard CNC milling machine tool holders accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank.
This tool is installed by machinists into a compatible CNC milling machine tool holder sized for a 3/4 inch shank. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before changing tooling. This end mill is not center-cutting and must not be used for direct plunge operations without a pre-drilled entry point. Set cutting parameters per the ISCAR ECI-4-VF series speed and feed tables for the specific workpiece material code being machined.
