The ISCAR 3398265 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and a 1-3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a compact form factor. The 4-inch overall length and 1/4 inch shank diameter suit standard collet chucks and end mill holders. A TiAlCN coating extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and improving wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The 38-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and hardened materials where a TiAlCN coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance. The variable index design reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, making it appropriate for both conventional and climb milling passes. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for the majority of CNC machining center spindles. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool capable of plunge entry as well as lateral material removal.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill compatible with standard 1/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer, and torque the collet nut or set screw per the holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use. Always bring spindle to full programmed speed before engaging the workpiece, and confirm correct cutting direction matches the right-hand spindle rotation.
