The ISCAR 3398203 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the ECI-4-VF series, designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 3/4-inch cutting diameter with a 0.09-inch corner radius, 4 flutes, and a 3-inch length of cut. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting speeds. A variable index geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool, reducing tool changes and setup time. Licensed HVAC and machining professionals recognize this class of end mill as a workhorse for interrupted cuts and long-reach applications.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers handling ferrous and exotic alloy components in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision manufacturing environments. The extended reach and long-length-of-cut design accommodate deep-pocket and cavity milling where short-reach tooling is impractical. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures accurate seating in standard collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. The centercutting design allows plunge entry where required.
Designed for use with standard collet-style and hydraulic toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance. The manufacturer catalog number for this tool is ECI-4 750-3.0C09VF6.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth before torquing the collet nut or clamping mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces corner radius accuracy.
