The ISCAR 3337261 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CXMG 090408-M3M configuration, part of the Logiq4turn series. It features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN under the IC6025 manufacturer grade, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted and continuous cuts. The insert carries an 80-degree diamond shape with a 0.8 mm corner radius and a positive rake geometry, which reduces cutting forces on the workpiece. Machinists and CNC lathe operators install this insert on compatible turning toolholders for precision external and internal turning operations.
This insert is designed primarily for turning stainless steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material group M. The M3M chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium machining conditions on austenitic and duplex stainless grades where chip control and edge stability are critical. It suits both production CNC environments and job-shop turning applications where consistent surface finish and dimensional repeatability are required. Maximum depth of cut is 3.00 mm (0.1180 inches).
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use insert for CXMG-style turning toolholders accepting 09 04 08 insert size code geometry within the Logiq4turn series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and clamping screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not estimate clamp torque by hand. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
