The ISCAR 3309414 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI designation H600 WXCU 070515HP IC882. It is a trigon-shaped, double-sided insert designed for high-feed milling applications in demanding materials. The insert features a negative rake geometry, a sharp cutting edge style, and an HP chip breaker configuration. Manufactured to ISCAR grade IC882, it receives a PVD-applied multilayer coating combining AlTiN, TiAlSiN, and TiSiN for extended tool life in abrasive and heat-generating cuts. With six usable cutting edges and a corner radius of 1.50 mm (0.0590 inches), it delivers consistent performance across multiple index positions. Installation and indexing are performed by licensed machinists or CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is engineered for milling of stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — ISO material groups M and S. It is suited for high-feed face milling and pocket milling operations where controlled chip formation and thermal resistance are critical. The HP chip breaker geometry supports aggressive feed rates while managing chip evacuation in sticky and work-hardening materials common to aerospace, medical, and energy-sector machining. The insert is compatible with ISCAR HELI6FEED cutter bodies in the FWX and EWX series.
Compatible with ISCAR HELI6FEED cutter bodies in the FWX and EWX series. Designed as a direct-fit replacement for any cutter body accepting ANSI H600 WXCU 070515HP inserts.
Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by qualified machining personnel with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a locked-out, energy-isolated state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate ISCAR Torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer's specified torque — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide insert. Inspect the cutter pocket seating surface for chips or wear before installing a new insert. Confirm correct insert orientation (right-hand) before returning the cutter to service.
