The ISCAR 3308113 is a DNMG432-TF turning insert in grade IC830, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Made from solid carbide with a multilayer PVD coating of TiAlN, AlTiN, and TiN under ISCAR's proprietary SumoTec process, it delivers thermal and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The insert measures 15.5 mm in length with a 12.7 mm inscribed circle, a 0.8 mm corner radius, and a maximum depth of cut of 3.5 mm. The 55-degree diamond shape and positive rake geometry of the TF chip breaker promote controlled chip formation during light to medium turning passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible DNMG-style toolholders.
This insert is rated for primary workpiece material groups M (stainless steel), P (steel), and S (superalloys and high-temperature alloys), making it a versatile choice for production turning in aerospace, oil and gas, and general manufacturing environments. The right-hand cutting orientation suits standard turning setups. It belongs to ISCAR's Isoturn series and conforms to ISO 13399 standards for cutting tool data representation, simplifying integration with CAM software and tool management systems.
Designed for use in DNMG-style toolholders within the ISCAR Isoturn series. Accepts inserts with a size code of 432 and a clearance code of N, tolerance code M. Verify toolholder designation against ISCAR's Isoturn toolholder lineup before ordering.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and torque the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification using a calibrated torque wrench. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or damage before seating a new insert, and confirm correct cutting edge orientation before resuming operation.
