The ISCAR 3260099 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the SumoCham series, designed for holemaking operations in metal cutting applications. It accepts interchangeable drill-tip inserts and is held in the toolholder via a Weldon flat shank, making it a rigid and repeatable platform for production drilling. The body covers a diameter range of 0.787 to 0.823 inches, reaches a maximum drill depth of 2.36 inches, and delivers through-coolant capability directly to the cutting zone. With an overall length of 5.81 inches and a 1 inch shank diameter, this body suits CNC machining centers and similar setups where consistent hole quality and fast tip changes are required.
This drill body is used in industrial machining environments for holemaking in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is appropriate for both job shop and production floor use where a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio meets the application requirement. The through-coolant channel keeps the cutting zone clear of chips and controls heat, which extends insert life in interrupted cuts or deep-pass applications. Machinists and tooling specialists working in precision metal removal will find the DCN-style toolholder body a straightforward fit into standard Weldon flat toolholders.
The 3260099 body is compatible with the following replaceable insert styles: FCP, ICK, ICK-2M, ICM, ICP, and iCP-2M. It is part of the SumoCham DCN series and is designed for use with standard Weldon flat toolholders accepting a 1 inch shank diameter.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or changing the drill body or insert tips. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the toolholder and torque the set screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify through-coolant passages are clear and that coolant pressure is appropriate for the insert style in use before beginning a cut.
