The ISCAR 3260042 is a steel-body indexable insert drill designed for precision hole-making and multi-operation metalworking applications. Built to the DRM-1D series specification, it accepts SO..09T306 style inserts and holds two cutting inserts simultaneously for efficient material removal. The drill body measures 1 inch in diameter with a 1-inch Weldon Flat and Flange shank, an overall length of 3.7 inches, and a flute length of 1 inch. Axial concentric coolant entry supports through-coolant capability, helping to manage heat and chip evacuation during high-demand cutting cycles. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users of this tooling.
This indexable drill is suited for general-purpose drilling, milling, plunging, shouldering, slotting, and spot facing operations. The 1xD depth-to-diameter ratio supports a maximum drill depth of 1 inch at nominal diameter, with a depth range extending to 2 inches depending on insert configuration. It is a right-hand cutting tool appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 1-inch modular connection size is required. The DRM drill style designation indicates compatibility within the ISCAR DRM platform of indexable drilling bodies.
Compatible with SO.. style indexable inserts in size code 09T306, secured with insert lock screw SR 34-506 M3x0.5. Designed for use within the ISCAR DRM-1D series indexable drill platform requiring a 1-inch modular connection size.
Installation and tool-change procedures should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine spindle fully stopped and the CNC control in a safe, locked-out state. Torque the insert lock screws using the correct ISCAR Torx key to manufacturer guidelines supplied with the insert documentation. Confirm shank seating in the toolholder is flush and that the Weldon flat set screw engages fully before resuming spindle operation. Inspect insert seating pockets for chips or debris before indexing or replacing inserts to maintain runout tolerances.
