The ISCAR 3202751 is a SumoCham-series replaceable-tip drill body designed for high-productivity holemaking in metal cutting applications. The drill body accepts interchangeable cutting-tip inserts, eliminating the need to replace the full tool assembly on tip wear. It covers a diameter range of 0.984 to 1.020 inches with a maximum drill depth of 7.87 inches, yielding an 8xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The 1.250-inch Weldon Flat shank provides positive rotational drive and secure clamping in compatible toolholders. Through-coolant capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting chip evacuation and extended tip life. The DCN-style toolholder body meets ISO 13399 standards for tool data representation.
The 3202751 drill body is suited for production drilling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials across machining centers and CNC turning centers equipped with live tooling. The 8xD depth ratio makes it appropriate for deep-hole drilling cycles where a standard-length drill cannot reach. Typical applications include automotive, aerospace, and general metalworking shops running high-volume hole operations. The replaceable-tip design reduces tooling cost per hole and minimizes machine downtime during tip changes. Installation requires a toolholder with a 1-1/4-inch Weldon Flat bore and set-screw drive arrangement.
Compatible insert styles: FCP, ICK, ICK-2M, ICM, ICP, and iCP-2M. Designed for use with DCN-style toolholders accepting a 1.250-inch Weldon Flat shank. Part of the ISCAR SumoCham replaceable-tip drill series.
Installation and tip changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine control locked out. Secure the shank in a Weldon Flat toolholder using the set screw against the flat to prevent axial pull-out under cutting loads. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface and coolant port for chips or debris before seating a new tip. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the set screw and insert clamping fastener.
