It accepts a range of interchangeable drill tip inserts, allowing the cutting head to be swapped without replacing the entire tool body. The drill covers a diameter range of 0.531 to 0.547 inches and reaches a maximum depth of 2.65 inches, with a 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The 5/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.625 inches in diameter and an overall length of 5.24 inches. Through-coolant capability channels fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting higher feed rates and longer tool life. Seat the drill body securely in the tool holder and verify clamping torque per the tool holder manufacturer specifications before running. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and coolant pressure is within the machine and tooling system ratings before beginning a cut.
