The ISCAR 3202626 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the SumoCham series, designed for precision holemaking in metalworking applications. The drill accepts interchangeable cutting tips rather than a fixed solid head, allowing worn tips to be swapped without discarding the entire tool body. It covers a drilling diameter range of 0.433 to 0.449 inches, reaches a maximum drill depth of 2.16 inches, and features integrated through-coolant delivery to flush chips and manage heat at the cutting zone. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.625 inches in diameter for straightforward clamping in standard toolholders. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 3202626 is suited for holemaking operations on CNC machining centers and lathes where repeatable hole quality and fast tip changeover are priorities. The 5xD depth-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for moderate-depth drilling without the need for peck cycles in many materials. Through-coolant capability is especially useful in higher-volume runs where chip evacuation and tool life consistency are critical. The DCN toolholder style designation indicates compatibility with ISCAR DCN-series drill bodies. This tool is applicable across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials depending on the insert tip selected.
Compatible insert styles include FCP, ICK, ICK-2M, ICM, ICN, ICP, and iCP-2M at Insert Seat Size 11. Toolholder style is DCN within the SumoCham series.
Installation and tip changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a locked-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank seating surface and collet or chuck bore are clean and free of chips before clamping. Verify coolant line connections are secure and through-coolant pressure is set per machine specifications before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the rated maximum drill depth or operate without adequate coolant flow when through-coolant is engaged.
