The ISCAR 3202513 is a replaceable-tip drill body in the SumoCham series, designed for precision holemaking in metal-cutting applications. The drill accepts interchangeable cutting-tip inserts, eliminating the need to replace the entire tool body between jobs. It covers a diameter range of 0.748 to 0.783 inches, reaches a maximum drill depth of 1.12 inches, and features a 1.0-inch Weldon Flat shank for secure, anti-rotation clamping in compatible holders. The DCN toolholder-style body includes through-coolant capability, directing fluid directly to the cutting zone for improved chip evacuation and tool life. This body is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
The 3202513 is suited for holemaking operations on CNC machining centers and drill presses where consistent diameter control and fast tip exchange are priorities. With an overall length of 4.5 inches, a body length of 2.3 inches, and a shank length of 2.2 inches, it fits standard tool-length envelopes for horizontal and vertical machining centers. The Weldon Flat shank mates with set-screw style toolholders to prevent axial pull-out under heavy feed rates. Through-coolant delivery supports both flood and high-pressure coolant systems depending on the machine spindle configuration.
Compatible insert styles: FCP, ICK, ICK-2M, ICM, ICN, ICP, and iCP-2M at insert seat size 19. Requires a toolholder with a 1.0-inch Weldon Flat bore. Part of the ISCAR SumoCham DCN series.
Installation and tip changes should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians with the machine spindle fully stopped and the tool clear of the workpiece. Ensure the Weldon Flat shank is fully seated and the set screw is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specification before running. Verify through-coolant line pressure is within the machine spindle and toolholder rated range before engaging high-pressure coolant. Inspect the insert seat and seating pocket for chips or debris before each tip change to ensure proper seating and runout.
