The ISCAR 3202484 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the SumoCham series, designed for precision holemaking in metalworking and machining applications. It accepts interchangeable drill tips rather than a fixed cutting edge, allowing fast tip swaps without removing the body from the spindle. The drill covers a diameter range of 0.63 to 0.665 inches, reaches a maximum drill depth of 5.04 inches, and delivers an 8xD depth-to-diameter ratio. Overall length is 8.01 inches. The 3/4-inch Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and reliable retention in compatible toolholders. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid to the tip for improved chip evacuation and thermal control in deep-hole operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary users.
The ISCAR 3202484 is suited for production drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where repeatable hole quality and fast tip changeouts are required. It fits the DCN toolholder style and is built to ISO 13399 standards for tooling data interoperability. Typical applications include CNC machining centers performing high-volume holemaking where minimizing downtime during tip changes is critical. The Weldon flat shank makes it compatible with standard side-lock toolholders at 3/4-inch bore diameter. Body length is 6.04 inches and shank length is 1.97 inches.
Compatible insert styles include FCP, ICK, ICK-2M, ICM, ICN, ICP, and iCP-2M at insert seat size 16. Designed for use in DCN-style toolholders with a 3/4-inch Weldon flat bore. Fits machining setups requiring a maximum drill depth range of 4.5 to 6.0 inches.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling setup personnel. Before mounting or tip replacement, confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the Weldon flat shank firmly in the toolholder and torque the side-lock set screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify tip seating and runout before initiating a cut, and confirm through-coolant passages are clear and the coolant supply is active prior to deep-hole operations.
