The ISCAR 3200968 is a replaceable-tip drill body designed for precision holemaking and chamfering operations in metalworking environments. Part of the UniChamDrill series, this drill body accepts IDI-SG and IDI-SK style inserts at seat size 8, allowing diameter coverage from 7.5 mm to 7.9 mm. The 8 mm Weldon Flat shank provides positive rotational drive in compatible toolholders. Maximum drill depth is 26 mm, and the overall length measures 76.7 mm. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting tool life and chip evacuation in demanding applications. Installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on CNC machining centers and drill presses.
This drill body is suited for holemaking and chamfering operations in production and job-shop environments. The DCM toolholder style designation and Weldon Flat shank interface make it compatible with standard collet and side-lock holders accepting 8 mm shanks. With a body length of 33.7 mm and shank length of 43 mm, the 3200968 fits compact spindle setups while maintaining sufficient shank engagement. The through-coolant design supports work in steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials where chip control is critical. Designed to ISO 13399 standards for consistent tool data integration with CAM and presetter software.
Compatible with IDI-SG and IDI-SK style replaceable-tip inserts at insert seat size 8. Designed for use in DCM-style toolholders with an 8 mm Weldon Flat shank interface. Part of the ISCAR UniChamDrill series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured before insert seating or body mounting. Seat the Weldon Flat shank fully into the side-lock or collet holder and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify through-coolant passages are clear and unobstructed before engaging the cut; restricted coolant flow accelerates insert wear and can cause thermal damage to the drill body.
