The ISCAR 3200688 is a replaceable-tip drill body from the CHAMDRILL series, designed for precision holemaking in metal-cutting applications. It accepts IDI-SG and IDI-SK insert styles in a seat size 25, allowing fast tip changes without removing the body from the toolholder. The drill covers a diameter range of 0.984 to 1.02 inches and reaches a maximum drill depth of 2.95 inches, corresponding to a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio. Through-coolant capability is built in, directing fluid directly to the cutting zone to manage heat and chip evacuation. This tool is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 3200688 is suited for holemaking operations on CNC machining centers and drilling machines where consistent hole quality and rapid insert indexing are priorities. The Weldon flat shank, 1 inch in diameter, provides positive drive and resistance to rotation in compatible toolholders. With an overall length of 6.49 inches and a body length of 4.29 inches, the tool fits standard spindle setups for medium-depth drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is a direct fit for DCM-style toolholder configurations and meets ISO 13399 standards for tool data representation.
Compatible with IDI-SG and IDI-SK replaceable drill tip inserts at seat size 25. Designed for use in DCM-style toolholders with a 1 inch Weldon flat shank interface. Drill depth range of 2.5 to 3.5 inches (3xD class) per series specification.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a DCM-compatible Weldon flat holder before tightening set screws to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify coolant passages are clear and through-coolant pressure is within the machine and insert manufacturer's recommended range before running the first cycle. Inspect the insert seat for chips or damage each time a tip is indexed or replaced.
