The ISCAR 3200479 is a replaceable-tip drill body designed for holemaking applications in metal cutting operations. It accepts IDI-SG and IDI-SK style inserts and covers a drill diameter range of 0.512 to 0.528 inches with a maximum drill depth of 1.53 inches. The shank is a Weldon Flat style measuring 0.625 inches in diameter, providing positive rotational drive in standard drill chucks and toolholders. The 4.11-inch overall length and through-coolant capability make this body well suited to production environments where heat management and chip evacuation are critical. This tool is part of the ISCAR CHAMDRILL series and conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers and users.
The ISCAR 3200479 fits CNC machining centers, drill presses, and turning centers equipped with compatible DCM-style toolholders. With a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drill depth range of 1.50 to 2.50 inches, it handles typical through-hole and blind-hole operations in steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. The through-coolant feature supports high-feed drilling cycles where internal coolant delivery is available at the spindle. This body is sold individually and is intended for use with separately sourced IDI-SG or IDI-SK replaceable tips.
Compatible with IDI-SG and IDI-SK style replaceable drill tip inserts. Designed for use with DCM-style toolholders. Fits machining setups where a Weldon Flat shank drive and through-coolant supply are available at the spindle interface.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state. Ensure the Weldon Flat shank is fully seated and the set screw in the toolholder is torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Confirm the replaceable tip insert is properly seated and secured before starting the spindle. Through-coolant passages should be cleared and verified prior to running the first cycle.
