The ISCAR 3106633 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill from the HeliIQMill series, designed for high-productivity milling operations in metal cutting applications. Built on an HM390 ETP-10 toolholder platform with a 1-1/2 inch cutting diameter and a 90-degree lead angle, this tool delivers true square-shoulder profiles with consistent wall accuracy. The Weldon flat shank measures 1 inch in diameter and 2.75 inches in length, providing positive drive retention in the spindle. Through-coolant capability keeps the cutting zone clear and extends insert life during demanding material removal. The body is constructed from solid carbide and accepts HM390 TPKT 1003 inserts secured by screw clamping. Five helical flutes provide smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting engagement across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling, slotting within its 0.315 inch maximum depth of cut, and light ramping at up to 1.6 degrees. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and pocket milling on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in aerospace, general machining, and precision job shop environments. The HeliIQMill platform is a common choice in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where indexable tooling reduces per-edge cost compared to solid end mills. The tool is compliant with AS 9100 quality standards, making it appropriate for aerospace supply chain work where material and process traceability are required.
Compatible with HM390 TPKT 1003 inserts. Fits standard Weldon flat toolholders with a 1 inch bore. Catalog reference: HM390 ETP D1.50-5-W1.0-10.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine locked out per facility LOTO procedures. Confirm holder bore condition and Weldon set-screw torque before running. Do not exceed the published maximum depth of cut or ramping angle for this toolholder series, as overloading indexable tooling can cause insert fracture or body damage. Inspect inserts for wear or chipping at regular intervals and replace using the correct Torx or hex key per ISCAR insert seating procedures.
