The ISCAR 3105649 is a solid carbide replaceable tip milling shank designed for use with the Multimaster modular tooling system. It features a conical collet shank with an ER20 taper and a T08 neck thread, allowing fast tip changes without removing the shank from the spindle. The neck diameter measures 0.453 inches and the overall length is 1.953 inches. An effective cutting length of 0.512 inches and a head length of 0.510 inches make this shank well suited for compact, high-precision milling setups. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians working with Multimaster-compatible milling heads are the primary installers.
This shank is intended for milling applications in CNC machining centers and manual mills where quick-change tooling is required. The ER20 collet series interface provides reliable radial runout control, which is critical for finish milling, slotting, and profiling operations. The Multimaster system it belongs to is a common choice in production environments that demand fast changeover between milling tip styles without full toolholder replacement. No coolant-through capability is present on this shank, so external coolant delivery should be planned accordingly.
Compatible Multimaster milling tip styles include: BCM-MM, HCE-MM, HCM-MM, HP E90AN-MM-07, MM EB, MM EC-4, MM GRIT-K/P-45A, MM HBR, MM HCR, and T290 ELN-MM-05. The shank seats in standard ER20 collet chucks. ISCAR catalog reference number for this shank is MM S-A-H013-ER20-T08.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC toolroom technicians or machinists. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or seating the shank in the collet chuck. Torque the ER20 collet nut using a calibrated collet wrench to the chuck manufacturer's specification — do not use impact tools. Inspect the T08 neck thread for debris or damage before threading on a Multimaster tip, and verify tip seating before initiating a cut.
