The ISCAR 3103852 is a replaceable-tip milling shank designed for use in the Multimaster modular tooling system. The shank features a 3/4-inch (0.75 inches) straight stepped shank profile with a T12 neck thread and a neck diameter of 0.72 inches. Overall length is 5.0 inches, with a projection of 1.0 inch and a head length of 0.88 inches. Constructed from steel, this shank is intended for licensed machinists and tooling specialists setting up modular milling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. It accepts a wide range of Multimaster exchangeable milling tips, allowing rapid tip changeover without removing the shank from the spindle.
This shank is suited for milling applications in both production shop and job-shop environments. The Multimaster platform is commonly used in face milling, shoulder milling, slotting, and profiling operations on machining centers. The stepped shank geometry is appropriate for standard toolholder collets and milling chucks designed around 3/4-inch bore sizes. No coolant-through capability is present on this unit, making it best suited for flood or external coolant delivery setups.
Compatible milling tip styles include: MM EA, MM EA-CF, MM EB, MM EBA, MM EC-10, MM EC-3, MM EC-4, MM EC-6, MM EC-8, MM EC-CF, MM EC-D, MM EC-H, MM ECD, MM ECF, MM ECS, MM ECU, MM EDF, MM EFF, MM EFS, MM EFS-CF, MM EPG, MM ERA, MM ERS, MM ETR, MM FF, MM GRIT-16K/P, MM GRIT-18K/P, and MM GRIT-22K/P. Toolholder style is MM S-A.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Before mounting or removing any milling shank, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an E-stop or locked-out state per applicable lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Torque the exchangeable tip to the manufacturer specification using the appropriate Multimaster assembly key. Inspect the T12 thread interface and seating surfaces for chips or damage before each tip change to maintain runout accuracy.
