The ISCAR 3103410 is a replaceable tip milling shank in the Multimaster series, designed for modular milling tool assemblies used in CNC machining environments. Built from solid carbide, this shank provides high rigidity and vibration resistance during milling operations. It features a 0.5 inch shank diameter with a straight shank shape and an 85-degree shank type. The neck thread is T05 with a neck diameter of 0.3 inches. Overall length is 3.0 inches, with a projection of 1.0 inch and a head length of 0.93 inches. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling specialists in production or job-shop settings.
This shank is suited for modular milling applications where quick tip changes are required without removing the shank from the toolholder. The Multimaster system allows operators to swap cutting heads at the machine, reducing changeover time in high-mix production environments. The 85-degree shank type and straight shank shape make it compatible with standard toolholder interfaces commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The toolholder style is MM S-B. Coolant-through capability is not included on this shank. No Weldon flat is present on the shank body.
Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster modular milling system toolholders using the MM S-B style interface. Compatible with Multimaster cutting heads with T05 neck thread. Refer to the manufacturers catalog number MM S-B-L3.00-C.500-T05 when cross-referencing system configurations.
Installation and removal of this shank should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine spindle fully de-energized and the toolholder secured. Use the appropriate Multimaster assembly torque tool as specified by ISCAR tooling guidelines - do not use improvised wrenches on the cutting head interface. Verify that the mating cutting head thread and neck engagement are clean and free of chips before assembly. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and shop safety procedures for modular tooling changes.
