The ISCAR 3103092 is a replaceable tip milling shank designed for use in modular milling systems requiring precise, rigid tooling connections. Part of the Multimaster series, this shank accepts interchangeable cutting heads and transfers cutting forces through a T06 neck thread interface. Constructed from solid carbide, it delivers the stiffness and vibration damping required for accurate metal removal in demanding milling operations. The stepped shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter, with an overall length of 4 inches and a neck diameter of 0.364 inches. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians working in production or job shop environments are the primary users of this component.
This shank is suited for milling applications where modular tooling systems reduce changeover time and tooling inventory. The Multimaster platform allows a single shank body to accept multiple cutting head geometries, making this component a versatile foundation for profiling, slotting, and general milling operations on CNC machining centers. The straight shank shape and stepped configuration allow it to seat securely in compatible toolholders using the MM S-A toolholder style. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant delivery should be planned accordingly.
Designed for use within the ISCAR Multimaster modular milling system, compatible with toolholders of the MM S-A style accepting a 3/8 inch stepped straight shank and T06 neck thread cutting heads.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with modular milling tooling systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly de-energized before any tooling change. Torque the cutting head onto the T06 neck thread using the appropriate Multimaster assembly tools as specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify runout and projection length before committing to a production cut.
