The ISCAR 3102923 is a replaceable tip milling shank designed for use in the Multimaster modular tooling system. It features a stepped shank configuration with a 3/8-inch shank diameter and a T06 neck thread, allowing fast tip exchanges without removing the holder from the machine spindle. The neck diameter measures 0.364 inches, and the overall length is 3.55 inches. Constructed from tungsten, this shank delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for consistent milling performance in production environments. Toolholder style is MM S-A. This component is installed by machinists and CNC tooling specialists working with modular milling setups.
The 3102923 is suited for milling applications in machining centers and CNC mills where the Multimaster system is already in use. The stepped shank design accommodates standard toolholder collets and arbors sized for 3/8-inch straight shanks. With a projection of 0.800 inches and an effective length of 0.680 inches, it fits setups requiring compact overhang. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant delivery should be used where chip evacuation or heat management is a concern. Typical use cases include light to moderate milling passes in a variety of workpiece materials.

Installation and tip changes should be performed by qualified machinists following the machine tool manufacturer's lockout/tagout procedure before any tooling work. Torque the replaceable tip to the shank using the manufacturer-supplied torque wrench or key to ensure proper seating of the threaded connection. Do not exceed the spindle speed rating specified for the mounted tip assembly. Inspect the neck thread and seating surfaces for chips or damage before each tip change to maintain runout accuracy.
