The ISCAR 3102153 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill in the Heli2000 series, designed for precision milling operations in metal-cutting applications. Built on the HM90 E90AD-15 toolholder platform, this end mill features a 1-1/4 inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.56 inches, and a 90-degree lead angle for true square-shoulder profiling. The Weldon flat shank with a 1-1/4 inch shank diameter provides secure tool retention in compatible holders. With three indexable insert pockets and a 6-1/4 inch overall length, it is suited for medium to heavy material removal in CNC milling setups. Installation and use are performed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is applied in shoulder milling, slotting, and ramping operations with a maximum ramping angle of 5.3 degrees. The 3-inch shank length and 3.25-inch head length provide reach for setups requiring extended tool projection. It accepts AD..1505.. and HM90 AD..1505 insert styles, including ADCT, ADCR, ADKR, ADKT, ADMT, HM90ADCT, HM90ADKT, and HM90ADKW 1505 inserts. Tooling of this type is commonly used in aerospace, die-mold, and general metalworking applications where consistent 90-degree wall geometry is required.
Compatible insert styles include AD..1505.. and HM90 AD..1505 formats, specifically ADCT, ADCR, ADKR, ADKT, ADMT, HM90ADCT, HM90ADKT, and HM90ADKW 1505 inserts. The toolholder cutter style is HM90 E90AD-15, catalog reference HM90 E90AD-D1.25-3W1.25XL.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully powered down and the CNC program halted before changing tooling. Ensure the Weldon flat shank is properly seated and the set screw is torqued to the machine tool manufacturer specification for the holder size in use. Verify insert seating and screw torque on all three pockets before returning the tool to service.
