The ISCAR 2800754 is an external right hand indexable grooving toolholder designed for precision grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the PHS toolholder style within the Cut Grip series, it accepts GDMW 2.4 inserts secured by a screw-clamp holding method. The toolholder handles a maximum depth of cut of 0.5 inches and a groove width range of 0.094 to 0.125 inches. Overall length is 5.9 inches with a square 0.5 inch by 0.5 inch shank. The shank length measures 4.95 inches and head length is 0.95 inches. Constructed from steel and compliant with ISO 13399 standards, this toolholder is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in precision metalworking environments.
This toolholder is suited for external non-face grooving applications on workpieces up to 1.0 inch in diameter. It is appropriate for use across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, heat-resistant alloys, and other universal material groups as indicated by ISO material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The right hand cutting direction and PHS style make it a direct fit for standard right hand turning setups. Coolant-through capability is not included in this toolholder.
Designed for use with GDMW 2.4 series inserts. Compatible insert size code is GDMW 2.4. Also referenced under manufacturer cross-reference number PHSR/L 12.7-2.4. Suitable for right hand external grooving on workpieces up to 1.0 inch maximum diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or changing toolholders. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped in the tool block or turret to the machine manufacturer's specified clamping torque before operation. Verify insert seating and screw torque on the GDMW 2.4 insert per the insert manufacturer's guidelines before engaging the workpiece.
