The ISCAR 2800261 is a right-hand indexable cutoff toolholder designed for grooving, parting, and turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It accepts GI.. and TIP.. series inserts with a minimum insert width of 0.118 inches and a maximum insert width of 0.157 inches, making it compatible with a range of standard Cut Grip insert geometries. The toolholder features a 0.75 inch square shank (0.75 inches height by 0.75 inches width) and delivers a maximum depth of cut of 0.79 inches. Maximum workpiece diameter capacity is 1.58 inches. Insert retention is achieved via a clamp-style holding method, providing secure, repeatable positioning during interrupted and continuous cuts. The toolholder weighs 0.4 pounds and conforms to ISO 13399 standards for cutting tool data representation.
This toolholder is suited for light to medium-duty cutoff and grooving work on small-diameter bar stock and workpieces up to 1.58 inches in diameter. The GHG-style (toolholder style GHG) head configuration is commonly used in production turning environments where consistent parting and grooving are required. It is a direct fit for CNC turning centers and conventional lathes where a 0.75 inch square shank tool block is used. Machinists and tool-room technicians working with Swiss-style or gang-tooled setups will find the compact head geometry useful for tight-clearance applications. Coolant-through capability is not included on this model.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered down, spindle locked, and all energy sources isolated per lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the shank fully within the tool block to the recommended engagement depth before tightening clamp screws. Verify insert seating and clamp torque according to the insert manufacturer's guidelines before resuming cutting operations. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut or workpiece diameter for this toolholder.
