It accepts GI, GPV, and TIP series inserts secured by a clamp-style holding method. The toolholder features a 0.75 inch square shank (0.75 inch height by 0.75 inch width) with a 3.5 inch shank length, a head length of 1.03 inches, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.36 inches. Weighing 0.4 pounds, it is a compact, rigid unit suited for precision cutoff work in production and job shop environments. Certified to ISO 13399 for standardized tool data exchange.
This toolholder is intended for use in external grooving, parting, and turning applications on manual or CNC lathes. The GHD-style toolholder body accommodates inserts with a minimum width of 0.11 inches and a maximum width of 0.157 inches, with a blade width of 0.094 inches. It is well suited for tight-tolerance parting and groove work on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where insert changeability and repeatability are critical. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in production turning environments will find the clamp-style insert retention straightforward and reliable.
Designed for use with GI, GPV, and TIP series indexable inserts as specified by ISCAR for the Cut Grip toolholder series. Verify insert width falls within the 0.11 to 0.157 inch range before installation.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the lathe turret or tool block is fully powered down and the spindle is locked before mounting or removing the toolholder. Secure the shank in a properly sized tool block or turret station that accommodates a 0.75 inch square shank. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool height and clamping torque.
