The holder accepts GI, GPV, and TIP series inserts secured by a clamp-style holding method. It features a 0.5 inch square shank, an overall length of 4.5 inches, and a head length of 1.03 inches. Groove width range is 0.11 to 0.157 inches, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.33 inches. This is a right-hand holder intended for production environments where consistent grooving and parting performance is required. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the typical end users.

This toolholder is suited for external grooving and cutoff applications on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in both production and job-shop environments. Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine powered down and the turret locked out before mounting. The 0.5 inch square shank should be seated fully in the turret pocket and torqued to the machine manufacturer's specified clamp value. Verify insert seating and clamp engagement before taking a test cut. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut of 0.33 inches, as overloading a grooving holder can cause insert breakage or shank deflection.
