The ISCAR 2550071 is an indexable grooving blade designed for grooving, parting, and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the Heliface series, this right-hand blade accepts HFPR/L style inserts and delivers precise, repeatable performance in demanding production environments. The blade stands 1.26 inches high with an overall length of 2.6378 inches and a blade width of 0.2040 inches. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working with tight-tolerance turned components where consistent groove geometry is critical.
This blade is suited for external grooving and parting applications on workpieces ranging from 1.5748 inches to 1.8900 inches in diameter. It supports a maximum depth of cut of 0.7087 inches and a minimum groove width of 0.1575 inches, making it appropriate for fine grooving work in both high-volume production and job-shop turning operations. The Heliface series is engineered for rigidity and insert security during interrupted and continuous cut conditions.
Compatible with HFPR/L style inserts. Designed for use on workpieces with a diameter range of 1.5748 inches minimum to 1.8900 inches maximum. Part of the ISCAR Heliface series tooling system.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is de-energized before changing or setting the blade in the tool holder. Secure the blade to the correct torque specification as defined by the holder manufacturer and verify insert seating before resuming cuts. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines during setup.
