The ISCAR 2500735 is a right-hand indexable grooving blade from the Heliface series, designed for precision grooving, parting, and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The blade carries a minimum groove width of 0.2362 inches (6.00 mm) and a maximum depth of cut of 1.4961 inches (38.00 mm), making it well suited for moderate-to-deep grooving passes on larger-diameter workpieces. The HFAI blade style accepts GRIP, GRIP Full Radius, HFPR/L, and HFPR/L Full Radius insert styles, giving machinists flexibility in insert selection for different groove profiles and finish requirements. At 0.339 pounds and 3.0118 inches in overall length, it is a compact, rigid toolholder body built for repeatable insert indexing.
This blade is intended for use on workpieces with a minimum diameter of 7.0900 inches (180.00 mm), which positions it for medium-to-large turning applications in job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom settings. Typical applications include external grooving, undercut work, parting-off operations, and profiling passes where a full-radius insert is needed. The Heliface series is engineered for stable clamping and consistent insert seating under interrupted and continuous cutting loads. Installation and setup are performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling specialists familiar with indexable turning toolholders.
Compatible insert styles include GRIP, GRIP Full Radius, HFPR/L, and HFPR/L Full Radius. Confirmed compatible insert part numbers: GRIP 5005Y, GRIP 5008Y, GRIP 5025Y, HFPR 6004, and HFPR 6025.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe index position before mounting or removing the blade. Secure the blade in the toolholder pocket to the machine or toolpost manufacturer's clamping specifications using calibrated torque tools. Verify insert seating and clamping torque before resuming cutting operations, and confirm workpiece diameter meets the 7.0900-inch minimum to avoid blade deflection or insert damage.
