The ISCAR 2500536 is an internal right-hand indexable grooving toolholder designed for precision internal groove cutting in a wide range of workpiece materials. Built on the Heli-Grip platform with the HELII toolholder style, it accepts GRIP and GRIP Full Radius inserts held by a clamp-style insert holding method. The toolholder provides a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 inches and handles groove widths from 0.118 inches to 0.125 inches. Through-coolant capability supports chip evacuation and heat control at the cutting zone. With an overall length of 6.5 inches and a 0.75-inch shank diameter, this toolholder suits CNC turning centers and live-tool lathes where internal grooving is a routine operation.
This toolholder is intended for internal non-face grooving applications on both CNC turning centers and multi-axis lathes. The minimum hole diameter for entry is 0.986 inches, and the center-to-cutting-edge distance is 0.58 inches, making it suitable for tight-bore internal groove work. The universal material compatibility rating covers steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, K, N, S, and H. This part is commonly specified by CNC machinists and tool-room technicians working in production or job-shop environments.
Designed for use with GRIP and GRIP Full Radius series indexable inserts. Compatible with workpiece materials across ISO groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. Intended for use in CNC turning centers and lathes equipped with a 0.75-inch boring bar or toolholder pocket.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe index position before mounting or removing the toolholder. Verify shank bore diameter and turret pocket clearance before installation to confirm proper fit. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and ISCAR tooling assembly guidelines when torquing clamping screws to avoid insert or pocket damage.
