The ISCAR 2500255 is a right-hand face grooving indexable toolholder in the Heliface series, designed for precision groove cutting operations on a lathe or turning center. It accepts HFPR-style inserts and uses a mechanical clamp to secure the insert during cut. The toolholder accommodates a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 inches and a minimum groove width of 0.118 inches, with a maximum groove width of 0.236 inches. The 0.75 x 0.75 inch square shank and 5-inch overall length make it a compact, rigid tool suited for tight-tolerance face grooving work. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary users of this toolholder.

This toolholder is intended for face grooving applications on both internal and external features. It is compatible with a broad range of workpiece materials coded H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous, stainless, steel, and heat-resistant alloys. The minimum axial groove inside diameter is 0.95 inches, and the maximum groove outside diameter is 78.74 inches, giving this tool a wide working range. The back-of-bar to cutting edge dimension is 0.96 inches, and the head height is 1.10 inches. It does not include through-coolant capability.

Installation Notes
