The ISCAR 2301533 is a right-hand indexable grooving and cutoff toolholder from the Do-Grip series, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It accepts DG-style inserts and is built around a clamp-style insert holding method that maintains insert position under high cutting forces. The shank measures 0.5 inches square by 3.95 inches in length, with an overall length of 4.7 inches. Groove width capability spans 0.118 to 0.125 inches, making it suitable for precision cutoff and narrow grooving work. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians.
This toolholder is intended for external grooving and cutoff applications in production and job-shop turning environments. It fits standard square-shank toolblocks and turrets that accept 0.5-inch shank toolholders. The back-of-bar to cutting edge dimension is 0.45 inches and the head length is 0.75 inches, giving consistent tool centerline placement in standard OD turning setups. The DGT-style toolholder style is part of the ISCAR Do-Grip system and is designed to work with the full range of compatible DG insert geometries and grades listed below.

This toolholder is installed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts or adjusting the toolholder in the turret. Use the appropriate torque wrench and ISCAR clamping screws to seat the insert; do not overtighten with impact tools. Verify tool centerline height against the workpiece axis before running the first part.
