The ISCAR 2301425 is a right-hand indexable grooving and cut-off toolholder in the Do-Grip series, identified by catalog number DGTR 19B-2D35. It accepts DG-style inserts secured by a clamp-style holding method and features through-coolant capability for improved chip evacuation and tool life during grooving and parting operations. The holder accommodates groove widths from 0.075 to 0.098 inches and allows a maximum depth of cut of 0.689 inches. With a shank height and width of 0.750 inches and an overall length of 5.500 inches, it fits standard square-shank tool blocks on CNC lathes and turning centers.
This toolholder is suited for external grooving and cut-off applications on CNC turning centers in production and job-shop environments. It is used by machinists and CNC lathe operators working on steel, stainless, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials where precise groove width control and consistent depth of cut are required. The Do-Grip clamping system provides rigid insert seating, which is especially important in interrupted cuts and high-feed parting operations. The through-coolant feature directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, reducing thermal loading on the insert.
Compatible with DG-style inserts including DGL 1001J-8D, DGL 1400JS-15D, DGL 1402J-8D, DGL 2200JS-15D, DGL 2200JS-6D, DGL 2202C-6D, DGL 2202J-6D, DGL 3100JS-15D, DGL 3100JS-6D, DGL 3102C-15D, DGL 3102C-6D, DGL 3102J-15D, DGL 3102J-6D, DGL 4003C-4D, DGL 4003J-4D, DGL 5003C-4D, DGL 5003J-4D, and DGL 630. Also accepts DGN/DGNM-J/JS/JT and DGR/L-J/JS insert families. Insert seat size is 0.1.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the toolholder from the turret. Ensure the tool block bore and shank mating surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for turret clamping bolts, and verify tool offset data in the CNC controller before resuming production cuts.
