The ISCAR 2300730 is an indexable cutoff blade tool block designed for cut-off operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the SGTBN tool block style, it accepts Self Grip and Self Grip T-Cut series blades with a compatible blade height of 1.02 inches. The block features a 0.75-inch shank height and 0.75-inch shank width, fitting standard toolpost and turret configurations. Overall length is 3.4 inches. The neutral cutting direction makes it suitable for standard right-hand turning setups. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this block as part of a modular parting and grooving system.
This tool block is used in precision turning applications where repeatable cutoff and grooving performance is required. It is appropriate for both production and job-shop environments running CNC or manual lathes. The SGTBN style integrates with the ISCAR Self Grip blade family, allowing blade changes without removing the block from the turret. Typical applications include parting stock, cutoff of finished parts, and shallow external grooving on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with ISCAR Self Grip and Self Grip T-Cut series cutoff blades requiring a 1.02-inch blade height. Fits lathe toolposts and turrets accepting a 0.75-inch by 0.75-inch shank.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or adjusting the tool block. Secure the shank firmly in the toolpost or turret slot per machine manufacturer torque guidelines using appropriate toolholding hardware. Verify blade seating and clamping before resuming cutting operations.
