The ISCAR 2300616 is a double-end, right-hand indexable cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the SGIH blade style, it measures 26 mm (1.0236 inches) in height, 4 mm (0.1575 inches) in width, and 110 mm (4.3307 inches) in overall length. The Self Grip insert holding method clamps compatible GT-series inserts without additional fasteners, reducing setup time and maintaining consistent insert positioning under cutting loads. Maximum workpiece diameter capacity is 3.15 inches. This blade is installed by machinists and CNC turning technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The ISCAR 2300616 is suited for cut-off and grooving applications on bar stock and chucked workpieces up to 3.15 inches in diameter. It mounts into SGTBR-style tool blocks and is a standard choice for shops running high-volume parting operations where repeatable insert indexing is critical. The double-end configuration allows the blade to be flipped and reused, extending service life between replacements. Right-hand cutting direction suits conventional lathe setups with standard tool block orientation.
Compatible inserts: GT.. 4.8 and GT.. 5.. series. Compatible tool block and toolholder styles: SGTBR 16-5, SGTBR 19-5, and SGTBR 25-6. Maximum workpiece diameter is 3.15 inches.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing inserts. Verify that the blade is fully seated and clamped in the tool block before resuming operation. Follow the tool block manufacturer's torque and clamping specifications when securing the blade in the holder.
