The ISCAR 2300612 is a double-end, right-hand indexable cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the SGIH blade style, it uses a Self Grip insert holding method that locks the insert mechanically without screws, keeping setup time low and insert changes fast. The blade measures 1.0236 inches in height and 4.3307 inches in overall length, with a blade width of 0.0945 inches. It accepts GT.. 3 style inserts at a minimum insert width of 0.122 inches. The auto-retracting blade type adds a safety function by retracting the insert on tool withdrawal, reducing the risk of workpiece or insert damage during retract moves. This blade is installed and used by machinists and CNC turning specialists in production and job-shop environments.
This cutoff blade is suited for bar-fed turning operations, Swiss-style lathes, and conventional CNC turning centers where clean, repeatable parting cuts are required. It supports a maximum workpiece diameter of 2.95 inches, making it appropriate for small to medium diameter barstock applications. The blade is compatible with the SGTBR 25-6 tool block style, which is a common holder format in production turning setups. It is well suited for shops running high-cycle parting operations where insert indexing speed and blade rigidity directly affect cycle time and part quality.
Compatible with SGTBR 25-6 tool block style and GT.. 3 style inserts. Designed for use in the ISCAR Self Grip series tooling system.
Installation of indexable cutoff blades should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and in a locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. The blade must be seated fully and evenly in the SGTBR 25-6 tool block before tightening the clamping elements to the tool block manufacturer specifications. Verify insert seating and blade projection before resuming cutting operations. Do not exceed the stated maximum workpiece diameter during parting operations.
