The ISCAR 2300522 is a double-end, right-hand indexable cutoff blade designed for grooving, parting, and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the SGFH blade style, it measures 32 mm high, 1.6 mm wide, and 150 mm in overall length, with a cutting height of 24.8 mm and a maximum workpiece diameter of 1.97 inches. The blade uses a Self Grip insert-holding method, which clamps inserts securely without additional fasteners, reducing setup time and maintaining consistent insert positioning under high cutting forces. This part is manufactured to ISO 13399 standards and accepts inserts with a nominal 2 mm width. It is intended for installation by machinists and tool-room technicians working in production turning environments.
This blade is suited for both light and moderate stock-removal applications involving grooving, parting off, and profile turning. The double-end configuration allows the blade to be flipped when one end is worn, effectively extending service life. Its right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with conventional lathe setups where the spindle turns counterclockwise when viewed from the tailstock. The Self Grip clamping series is commonly found in production shops requiring fast insert changeovers without disturbing the blade-to-toolholder setup. Compatible insert width range is 1.8 mm minimum to 2.69 mm maximum, accommodating a variety of GF-series insert geometries.
Compatible inserts include the GF.. 2.. and GF.. 2.4 series per manufacturer specification. The blade accepts inserts with a minimum width of 1.8 mm and a maximum width of 2.69 mm. Manufacturers catalog reference number is SGFH 32-2.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. The blade must be properly seated and torqued into a compatible toolholder or blade holder before spindle operation begins. Power down and lock out the machine before changing blades or inserts. Do not exceed the maximum workpiece diameter rating of 1.97 inches, as doing so may cause insert ejection or blade fracture.
