The IO HVAC CONTROLS TD-0806 is a rectangular zone damper designed for residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems. It controls airflow to individual zones within a ducted forced-air system, allowing independent temperature management across different areas of a building. The damper ships with a 60-second Belimo 3-wire actuator pre-installed, delivering reliable, controlled blade movement without the need for a separate actuator purchase. The duct opening size is 8 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Licensed HVAC technicians typically install this damper as part of a zoning control system alongside a compatible zone control board and thermostat wiring.
This damper is intended for use in Trane and American Standard ducted forced-air systems requiring rectangular zone dampers. It fits within standard rectangular duct runs where zone control is being added or replaced. The 3-wire Belimo actuator is compatible with most zone control boards that output a standard open/close 24-volt signal. Typical applications include residential multi-zone systems, light commercial retrofits, and new construction zoning installations where Trane or American Standard equipment is specified.
Designed for use with Trane and American Standard rectangular duct zoning systems requiring an 8 inch by 6 inch damper with a 60-second Belimo 3-wire actuator.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with low-voltage zoning controls and duct modification work. Power down the air handler and de-energize all low-voltage control wiring before cutting into the duct or connecting actuator leads. Follow the zone control board manufacturer wiring diagram when connecting the 3-wire actuator. Local mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines should govern duct sealing and sheet metal work at the damper installation point.
