The INTERMATIC 1472BR is a 24-hour mechanical time switch designed for high-voltage applications in commercial and residential electrical systems. Rated for 208-277 VAC at 60 Hz with a 4-SPST switching configuration, it handles loads up to 40 amps per pole and supports up to 10 ON/OFF settings per day. The unit features a skip-a-day function using included skipper screws, allowing scheduled loads to be bypassed on selected days without reprogramming the entire timer. Housed in an outdoor-rated metal enclosure in gray, this time switch is installed by licensed electricians managing lighting control, irrigation, and load-scheduling circuits.
The 1472BR is suited for indoor and outdoor lighting control as well as general timing and scheduling applications. It is a member of the T170 Series, sharing the load capacity of the T100 Series while adding skip-day capability. Each unit ships with one set of ON/OFF trippers and three skipper screws, giving the installer the ability to omit the schedule for at least three individual days. This makes it practical for facilities or sites with predictable days of reduced or no operation, such as weekend shutdowns or scheduled closures.
Designed as a high-voltage mechanical time switch replacement in the INTERMATIC T170 Series, functionally similar to the T100 Series and suited for 208-277 VAC lighting control and load-scheduling applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power to the circuit before wiring or servicing the time switch. Verify that the supply voltage matches the 208-277 VAC rating before energizing. Set and verify ON/OFF trippers and skipper screw positions before restoring power to confirm the schedule is configured correctly.
