The IMPORT 20927 is a mechanics-length twist drill bit designed for precise hole-making in metal and hard materials. It features a 31/64 inch (0.4844 inch decimal) diameter and a 135-degree split point that reduces walking and allows drilling to start without a center punch. The high-speed steel (HSS) construction handles the heat generated during metal cutting. The three-flat Weldon shank locks securely in compatible chucks, preventing bit slippage under load. Overall length is 4-7/8 inches with a 3-1/4 inch flute length. The oxide finish provides a baseline level of surface protection. Right-hand cutting direction.
