The HERTEL SZ20037C is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a cone with point end head shape, designed for precision material removal, deburring, and surface finishing in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built to industry specification SK-9, it features a 1 inch cutting diameter and a single cut tooth style for controlled stock removal with a smooth finish. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard die grinders and rotary tools used throughout manufacturing, tool and die, and maintenance repair operations. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance across a range of materials.
This bur is suited for use in metal fabrication shops, tool rooms, and maintenance environments where precise deburring, chamfering, and contouring are required. The 90-degree included angle of the cone geometry makes it effective for cleaning weld joints, deburring drilled holes, and cutting chamfers in confined areas. It is typically used by machinists, toolmakers, and industrial maintenance technicians working with ferrous metals, cast iron, and similar hard materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement bur for use in standard 1/4 inch collet die grinders and rotary hand tools commonly used in metalworking and fabrication operations.
Installation is performed by machinists and tool room technicians using standard die grinders equipped with a 1/4 inch collet. Ensure the tool is fully powered down and unplugged before inserting or removing the bur. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the tool manufacturer specification before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating rotary cutting tools.
