The HERTEL SZ20032C is a solid carbide abrasive bur in a cone with point end geometry, designed for precision material removal, deburring, and surface finishing in metalworking and fabrication applications. The 3/16-inch cutting diameter and 3/16-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard die grinders and rotary tools. The single-cut tooth style provides controlled stock removal with a smoother finish than double-cut alternatives. The 90-degree included angle on the cone profile allows access to chamfers, countersinks, and angled surfaces. Uncoated solid carbide construction delivers durability across ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and fabricators install this bur in handheld or bench-mounted rotary equipment.
This bur is suited for deburring drilled holes, blending weld seams, porting, and contouring work on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The cone with point end shape is particularly useful for reaching into tight internal angles and chamfered edges. The 1/8-inch length of cut keeps the working zone compact for detail work. It fits standard 3/16-inch collets on die grinders, pencil grinders, and flexible shaft machines commonly used in machine shops, maintenance facilities, and aerospace and automotive fabrication environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement conforming to industry specification SK-81 for cone-style abrasive burs with a 3/16-inch shank diameter, compatible with die grinders and rotary tools accepting standard 3/16-inch collets.
Installation is performed by machinists or fabricators using a die grinder or compatible rotary tool with a 3/16-inch collet. Always power down and disconnect the tool from its air or electrical supply before inserting or removing the bur. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet nut is properly tightened before operating. Wear appropriate eye protection and secure workpieces before use.
