The HERTEL SZ2002TR is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a tree-with-radius-end head geometry, conforming to industry specification SF-3NF. It features an Aluma Cut tooth style, which is engineered for fast material removal in aluminum, soft metals, and non-ferrous materials while resisting chip loading. The cutting head measures 3/8 inch in diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut, and the bur mounts on a 1/4 inch diameter shank. The uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and durability under continuous rotary filing and blending operations.
This bur is suited for deburring, contouring, and blending operations on aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, and other non-ferrous or soft workpiece materials. The tree-with-radius end profile makes it well matched to profiling concave surfaces, blending weld seams, and working in areas that require a rounded cutting tip. Machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians commonly use this style of bur in die grinders and rotary tools for precision material removal in production and repair settings.
Designed as a standard SF-3NF style abrasive bur for use in die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch collet. Specific machine compatibility is determined by the 1/4 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a die grinder or compatible rotary tool with a 1/4 inch collet. Ensure the collet is fully tightened and the tool is disconnected from power before changing burs. Always operate within the maximum RPM rating of the die grinder and wear appropriate PPE, including eye protection and gloves, when using abrasive burs on metallic workpieces.
