The HERTEL SZ0026CW is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a cylinder with radius end geometry, conforming to the SC-2 industry specification. It features a double cut tooth style that removes material efficiently across a wide range of workpiece materials. The cutting head measures 5/16 inch in diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut, and mounts via a standard 1/4 inch shank. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers consistent hardness and edge retention under the high rotational speeds typical of die grinders and rotary tools. This bur is used by machinists, tool and die makers, welders, and fabricators performing deburring, grinding, shaping, and finishing operations on metal and other hard materials.
The SZ0026CW is suited for use in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance applications where controlled material removal in tight or radiused profiles is required. The cylinder with radius end geometry allows the tool to work both on the side and at the end of the cut, making it effective for blending fillets, cleaning weld joints, and profiling cavities. It is appropriate for use in both production and repair environments where a 1/4 inch collet die grinder is the primary drive tool.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch shank collet. Fits standard 1/4 inch collet chucks used across industrial and maintenance-grade rotary drive equipment.
Installation is performed by securing the 1/4 inch shank into a compatible collet die grinder per the tool manufacturer torque and clamping guidelines. Always ensure the drive tool is fully powered down and the collet is locked before inserting or removing the bur. Operators should wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when working with rotary carbide burs. Inspect the bur for chips or cracks before each use and do not exceed the recommended RPM rating of the drive tool.
