The HERTEL SZ0019C is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a cylinder flat-end head geometry, conforming to industry specification SA-51. It carries a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch length of cut, mounted on a standard 1/8 inch shank. The double-cut tooth pattern removes material aggressively in both forward and lateral passes while leaving a surface finish suitable for deburring, porting, and contour work. The uncoated solid carbide head delivers consistent hardness across a wide range of workpiece materials. This bur is used by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians on die grinders and rotary tools.
The SZ0019C is suited for deburring, shaping, and material removal tasks in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance environments. Its cylinder flat-end profile makes it well matched for flat-bottom cavities, right-angle shoulders, and through-pocket finishing where a ball-nose or taper profile would be ineffective. The 1/8 inch shank fits the collet sizes common to most handheld die grinders and pneumatic rotary tools used in shop and field maintenance applications.
Designed as an SA-51 specification replacement bur compatible with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/8 inch shank collet.
Install in a die grinder or rotary tool with a properly sized 1/8 inch collet and tighten the collet nut to the tool manufacturer specification before operation. Always wear eye protection and secure the workpiece before running the bur at speed. Inspect the shank and head for cracks or chips before each use and discard any bur showing visible damage. Follow applicable shop safety standards for abrasive and rotary cutting tools.
