The HERTEL SZ0007F is a solid carbide abrasive bur in the SH-2 flame head shape, designed for precision deburring, grinding, and material removal in metalworking applications. The flame profile allows access to contoured surfaces, cavities, and angled workpieces where flat or cylindrical tools cannot reach. With a 5/16-inch cutting diameter and a 3/4-inch length of cut, it removes material efficiently on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened alloys, and similar hard substrates. The single-cut tooth style produces smooth finishes and minimal chatter, making it well-suited for finish passes and detail work. The 1/4-inch shank fits standard die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines commonly used in fabrication and maintenance shops.
This bur is used in industrial and trade settings for weld blending, port matching, mold cleaning, and surface preparation. It suits applications where controlled material removal is needed in tight or curved geometries. Machinists, tool and die workers, maintenance technicians, and fabricators typically reach for this style when working on castings, weldments, or machined components that require fine finishing or burr removal after cutting operations. The uncoated solid carbide construction maintains cutting edge integrity at elevated surface speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use carbide bur for rotary tools, die grinders, and flexible shaft machines accepting a 1/4-inch shank. Conforms to SH-2 industry specification for flame-style carbide burs.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using standard die grinders or rotary tools. Before changing burs, power down the tool and confirm the spindle has stopped completely. Insert the 1/4-inch shank fully into the collet and tighten per the tool manufacturer instructions before operating. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety protocols when using rotary cutting tools.
