The HERTEL SZ0006TW is a solid carbide abrasive bur with a tree with radius end head shape, conforming to the SF-42 industry specification. It features a double cut tooth style for aggressive material removal and smooth finishing in a single tool. The 1/8 inch shank and 1/8 inch cutting diameter make it well suited for precision work in tight areas. At 0.0088 pounds, it is lightweight and balanced for extended use in rotary die grinders and similar power tools. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians use this bur for deburring, porting, shaping, and surface blending on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This bur is appropriate for use in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance applications where controlled stock removal is required in confined geometries. The tree with radius end profile makes it effective for working inside contoured cavities, blending radii, and cleaning up weld seams. The uncoated solid carbide head provides consistent hardness and wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. It is sold individually and is a direct fit for standard 1/8 inch collet die grinders.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch collet rotary die grinders and pneumatic or electric rotary tools accepting 1/8 inch shank burs.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using a compatible die grinder with a 1/8 inch collet. Ensure the collet is fully tightened and the tool is disconnected from air or power before changing burs. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before operation. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the die grinder being used.
