The HERTEL MR34-0838.438 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a 2.13 mm (0.0839 inch) reamer diameter and a bright, uncoated finish, this tool delivers accurate final sizing in materials where dimensional control is critical. The 4-flute spiral configuration with left-hand spiral direction and right-hand cutting action provides smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. Overall length is 50 mm with an 11 mm flute length. Machinists and CNC operators working in precision production environments rely on this style of reamer where hole tolerance must be held to exacting standards.
This chucking reamer is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups where the reamer is held in a chuck or collet. The straight shank allows secure clamping in standard toolholders. It is appropriate for small-diameter precision reaming in the 2.00 mm to 3.00 mm diameter range, typical in aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and general precision manufacturing operations. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard machine spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for precision hole finishing applications in the 2.00 mm to 3.00 mm diameter range, compatible with any machine tool equipped with a standard straight-shank chuck or collet system.
This reamer is installed by a machinist or CNC operator into a compatible chuck or collet holder prior to use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly secured before beginning the reaming operation. Verify that cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting fluid selection are appropriate for the workpiece material, as improper parameters can damage the carbide cutting edges. Do not use this tool as a drill; reamers require a pre-drilled pilot hole sized appropriately below the finish diameter.
